SUMMER SEMESTER (generally June-August)
Our congregation has a particular affinity for learning and discovery.
In that light, during the summer months (and occasionally elsewhere during the year), Via de Cristo intentionally shifts the nature of the Sunday messages even more toward teaching and occasionally in-the-round conversation.
Focusing on awareness and insight, we invite a range of engaging guest speakers to share with us from their particular passions or domain knowledge, or in some cases, their own experience in getting to where they are now in their own always unique spiritual pilgrimage.
Happenings In Our Community
Faith in Action – Faith in Action for August (until Sept 9) will again be supporting the Interfaith Food drive started by Azra Hussein as a positive action to 9-11. There will be bags and lists at church each Sunday but this Sunday is the collection Sunday.
Grab a bag each time you go grocery shopping and fill it.
Shadow Rock (UCC) Hope Station needs to collect crackers and cheese/peanut butter, fruit cups and protein packs (tuna, etc.) after they needed to supply a large number of families with the food bags last week.
